President's Message

Dear friends

It is a matter of great honour and responsibility for me to serve as the 12th President of Thane Obstetrics & Gynaecological Society (TOGS) . Our esteemed Past Presidents have built this association to a remarkable standard, and I am committed to carrying this legacy forward with dedication and integrity.

With the guidance of our senior leaders, the unwavering support of my Satvik TOGS team, and most importantly, the encouragement and valuable suggestions from all our members, I am confident that we will have yet another impactful and fulfilling year.

Established in 2013, TOGS is a non-political, non-profit professional organization affiliated with FOGSI, dedicated to the overall betterment of women’s health across Thane district. Over the years, our association has grown steadily and now proudly represents a strong fraternity of 500+ qualified obstetricians and gynaecologists.

Academics remain the cornerstone of TOGS. Alongside this, for over a decade, we have been actively involved in community outreach through regular health camps for private and municipal schoolgirls across the district, focusing on menstrual hygiene, adolescent health, and sex education.

Continuing our tradition, this year’s team is proudly named “Satvik TOGS”, reflecting our core values:
Sympathetic, Adorable, Transparent, Visionary, Innovative, and Knowledgeable.

During the year, we have planned a minimum of three physical and three online CMEs, along with a Live Operative Workshop in collaboration with RGMC. Our Annual Conference will feature two prestigious orations, the President’s Young Scientist Award, and a special prize instituted by Dr. Rajnish Patel for the RGMC student securing the highest marks in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.

Beyond academics, TOGS continues to thrive culturally and socially. Our members have already made us proud by winning first prize in dance competitions at both the Mumbai AICOG and the Pune Presidential Conference. Such activities strengthen camaraderie and foster lifelong bonds among TOGSians.

As TOGS enters its 13th year, an age we fondly refer to as its “adolescence,” we recognise the importance of nurturing this phase with care, responsibility, and vision—something we, as gynaecologists, understand deeply.

We are supported by a strong and experienced committee comprising24 members, including 19 elected Managing Committee members and 5 Immediate Past Presidents.

I earnestly request every member to actively participate in TOGS activities. With your continued support, involvement, and trust, we will undoubtedly scale greater heights together.
